Maya won the 2013 Ontario Scholastic Championships held in NorthBay April 6th. Maya snatch 76kg (167lbs) and Clean & Jerked 207lbs for a total of 170kg (374 lbs) Which was a personal best.

3 New Youth Records
Maya won the 2013 Senior Weightlifting Championships on March 23rd. She snatched 74kg, Clean & Jerked 94kg and totaled 168 which set 3 new youth records. Note she is still a youth, 17 years old and not even a legitimate junior yet!
Silver Medalists at the 2013 Canadian Junior Championships
Maya finished 2nd place with a silver medal. Maya snatched 70kg, and clean & jerk 90kgs in the 69kg weight class.

Maya 2012 Ontario Junior Championships
Maya Laylor Junior Ontario Champion at 17 years old and winner of the best female lifter. She is currently the number one ranked junior in Ontario and has been selected by the Podium Gold Program. Maya competes in the 69kg weight class.
Best Pound for Pound
Maya Laylor competed at the Ontario Junior Weightlifting Championships, December 1st, 2012. In the 69kg weight class, Maya won a Gold medal while breaking the snatch record (73kg), and the total record with 166kg.

At the Ray Hamilton Classic Olympic Weightlifting competition in North Bay, grade 12 APGA student, Maya Laylor won gold after she broke 4 Ontario Youth Records in the Female 69kg Weight Class. Maya lifted 71kg which converts to 156lbs in the Snatch, and 93kg which converts to 205lbs in the Clean & Jerk for a total of 164kg which converts to a whopping 361lbs. She also won in two more...
