Maya Laylor competed at the Ontario Junior Weightlifting Championships, December 1st, 2012. In the 69kg weight class, Maya won a Gold medal while breaking the snatch record (73kg), and the total record with 166kg.
As well, Maya walked away with the best Female Lifter Trophy claiming the best pound for pound female lifter in Ontario.
